The 8th Annual Frankfort Film Festival


Benzie County, Mich. (The 8th annual Frankfort Film Festival, presented by The Garden Theater in Frankfort, Michigan will take place October 20-23 during Northern Michigan’s spectacular fall color display. The mission of the Festival is to bring the “Best Of” from other events around the world to the big screen in downtown Frankfort. Impressive award-winning foreign, documentary and full feature indie films will be included on the schedule.

Weekend Fall Festivals, Giant Sized Carved Pumpkins, and Beautiful Fall Color


Benzie County, Mich. - The “Most Beautiful Place in America” along the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore will be bursting with fall color and festivals to celebrate autumn. During many weekends, October festivals and other activities in Benzie County’s quaint towns create a lively atmosphere for families and couples to congregate. Some of the highlights include giant sized carved pumpkins created by master carver Ed Moody, wild gourds carved by “Lord of the Gourd” Pat Harrison, a parade featuring the Scottsville Clown band and a “mutt march” dog parade, horse-drawn wagon rides, as well as, children’s activities.
