Benzie County Attractions

Beautiful Benzie County is an ideal vacation destination any time of year. With 60 miles of waterfront and sandy beaches, including 25 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, it's no mystery why people return year after year. We are home to a portion of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore where you'll find beaches, dunes, trails, and spectacular scenery.

Scenic Betsie Valley Trail extends 22 miles from Elberta, through Frankfort and Beulah, to Thompsonville. Spend some time with your family hiking or bicycling through our woods and quaint villages and along our shorelines. Lighthouse enthusiasts come to see, tour, and photograph our Lighthouses including the popular Point Betsie.

The Benzie area is rich in culture and history. Visit our Museums, Parks & Historical Sites page for more information. When you Stay In Benzie you are but a short drive from world famous Interlochen Center for the Arts where you'll find concerts and events year round.

Benzie is a Four Season Playground destination with something for everyone! From the #1 Resort in the Midwest, Crystal Mountain, to pristine beaches, lakes and rivers-- the possibilities are endless.
